Need someone with practical electrical engineering skills who has DIY experience related to making their own power source using wind or water.
Need advice on what do purchase, how to connect and help understanding the basic concepts to I can do the practical steps myself.
I have been entertaining the idea for a long time to generate my own electricity using first wind as a test and then a nearby river.
I am a computer engineer so my knowledge of electrical engineering is too limited to understand what I really need and how it works.
What will I need to buy in practice? What will it cost? I assume I will need generators + some kind of converter to an output.
Can I combine e.g. many small wind power plants? Can I combine by own generated electricity with the electricity from the wall so that I my devices always are powered?
I am using a 3d printer for printing some prototypes, will do it small scale first.
