Find me a Supplier

My business partners and I are seeking someone who meets the following criteria and can undertake the work outlined below. To be successful you must first of all speak and write fluent English and Chinese. You will be required to communicate both verbally and in writing so it is essential you can do both in order to operate professionally. You must be able to research potential product opportunities both from your own ideas and also from those suggested to you by ourselves. We are seeking someone who has an excellent knowledge of Chinese manufacturers/suppliers and who can negotiate with these companies on our behalf to secure the best prices for quality goods as well as (minimum) order quantities to match our marketing plans. In addition you must also have an extensive working knowledge of the logistics of shipping goods from China to the USA whether it be by Express, Air or by Sea. This includes dealing with freight forwarding, negotiating shipping costs, and arrangements regarding US customs. This work will need to be done within set deadlines and ensuring the entire process from initial research to the goods arriving in our warehouse is done as efficiently as possible. In summary you must meet these requirements: • Fluent spoken and written English & Chinese • Excellent written and spoken communication skills i.e. telephone, Skype, email • Ability to thoroughly research product opportunities in China • Thorough knowledge of Chinese manufacturers / exporters and which are the most suitable for any given product type. • Ability to negotiate with suppliers/manufacturers to obtain best quality, prices & MOQs for purchase. • Extensive working knowledge of shipping from China to USA, US customs etc. including negotiating costs in order to arrange shipping of goods from China to USA destinations • Ability to work efficiently and to set deadlines We will of course negotiate with you in regards to paying you an appropriate fee/hourly rate for the initial work that you do. This is not to be seen as a one-off task. Instead we require someone who can commit to this for several hours per week with the view that the successful person has the potential to turn this in to a long term/full time role with the financial rewards that will follow.
