Hello, Just for clarification: what you are trying to estimate is the marginal impact of one company on the overall group, correct? E.g., if the weighted average hourly rate of the group is 35 and you add company XYZ, the average hourly rate becomes 39. In this case, all you'd need is to choose a threshold, e.g., companies must have a marginal impact of +/- N%. It is possible to rank companies based on their marginal impact on the overall group. Hi There, I have calculated the standard deviation for hourly rate , let me know if that is not correct and you were looking for standard deviation for some other variable. there is no concept of weighted standard deviation in statistics as far as I know, so if you let me know what you are trying to do with tha , I could calculate it in some other way.
