We build Fuel Management Systems and are producing a system that is not connected to our cloud platform. We are wanting a small application built to run on Windows. Preferable an EXE that we can store on a flash drive with other files. My engineers are to busy with projects to complete this one so we are outsourcing it. Basically we have twoCSV files.
1) One is a list of users with Names, ID Numbers and access rights etc. This is used to download information to our field units by our handheld controller (Essentially a flash drive) . All info except the User Names are loaded to the field module.
2) The second is a file that is downloaded from the field unit, this is a list of transactions, which has the user ID numbers but no names.
What we want to do is take the second file, match the User IDs with the User Names in the first file, delete any duplicate transactions and produce and Ecxel spreadsheet with the results that so the User Name, User ID and some other information. (System ID) taken from a third CSV file.
My thinking is that we keep this application on the flash drive and automatically detect the two files (they will have fixed file names) from the same flash drive, will perform the task then open an excel spread sheet of the result. This could even run automatically when the flash drive is plugged in so the user does not have to do anything. A small .ini file may be used to set perimeters like the file names or final file extension, maybe even if it auto runs or not etc.
