I currently do excel exports from our CRM system (Buildertrend), and manually adjust the format and data in order to use the data for forecasting. I would like to automate this process to automatically convert the exported data into the correct format that I need. Updating the format would include, eliminating some columns of data that are not used, creating a calculation to add values from multiple fields, and creating a free form field that I can manually enter forecasting numbers. The updated version would then get updated every month with another excel export from the CRM. The updated sheet would have to be smart enough to keep some data from the previous month and update other data based on the most recent months data. This can all happen in excel or imported in Power BI. I'm open to either.
