Music Mixer Functionality + GUI

Requirement: GUI, Music Mixer Functionality, Music edit functionality We need a mixer that can use a libary of tracks that can be mixed. Here is an example: [login to view URL] As you can see you pick a track from the libary, and then you have the mixer that has tools to mix and change the music untill you are satisfied with the mix. You then save it: We will build the libary of tracks. We need to be able to mix the tracks and save them as a mp3 / midi / wave/ They typical file size ranges from: less then 100KB. MP3: Mono (MPEG-2.5) Bitrate (kbps): 32, 48 MIDI: Type 0 Audio Sample Size: 8 bit Audio Sample Rate: 8khz WAV: Mono Audio Sample Size: 8 bit Audio Sample Rate: 8khz Audio Format: Canoni DJ Mixer: As the website shows [login to view URL] We have to make something similar type of project, but not that much rich functional, this project gonna be very simple and specific. Most basic requirements are 1) There has to be 6 class of music, say Jazz,POP, rock...etc. 2) Display them in almost same type of GUI as it is shown on the website. 3) GUI shud be in Java Applet, or if u wish to use Flash, u can do so, point is, it shud be accesible in browser. 4) This application shud run in browser, you dont have to worry abt server and remote location, do it all on local machine, but make sure, compatibe with browser, so that later on it can be equipped with http server( thats not our requirement). So there is no web application, as u might perceive by seeing that website. 5) Now if u load that many music files in the application , they will be represent different class of music, and now if someone wanna create mixer of those classes....time stamp wise. Say for 1 to 5 secs, first classic say for 6 to 10 and soooo on, at the end, user can save the mixed file as well. 6) There has to be functionality of editing any existing music also. Time Frame for execution of Task: 48 hours.
