We are producing an eCard that will provide season’s greetings.
The eCard will be accessible within a web page which will contain the flash animation that you need to create. The user will be taken to this page via an HTML email showing a static visual with a call to action: “play the eCard” once clicked upon.
The Flash ecard is based on camera panning animation using depths of field to create a 3D illustion and uses Parallax programming in actionscript - this is mandatory for the flash developer. The provided Flash file contains eight different layers which require parallax animation within the permitted stage size – 600x450px. The camera panning animation needs to be done in a way that the layers are arranged in 3D space. So the ‘Foreground’ layer will move faster than any layers behind and the ‘sky/city’ layer will have slower movement with respect to the foreground layers.
Please note the elements in the space like ‘the planet’ and ‘Zeppelin’ is in a different position in 3D space (Sky) so the panning animation should be unique from other stage elements. The existing movie clips need no modifications in terms of animation.
All the animations and basic face animation actions are done in-house and placed in the appropriate layer as movie clips.
The following is required from the Flash developer.
1. Panning animation with Parallax movement/coding using Flash ActionScript 2 (including 2-3 proofing sessions)
2. Implementation of Flash controls for volume/music
3. Troubleshooting the Flash file including guidance if we require (provide 1 hour of troubleshooting). You will need to ensure your work is guaranteed.
4. The source files in the FLA format with any accompanying scripting files with clear documentation inside the code.
The deadline for the project is 18:00 GMT 18th December 2009. We will need to review the work in progress tomorrow 17th December 2009 at 15:00 GMT.
