Connection between two programs.
Input data in program 1 result in creating or updating data in program 2.
Program 1 (main): Teamleader
Program 2: Timechimp
When creating a new deal in Teamleader (only then), following information needs to be created in TimeChimp:
- check if the customer is already existing in TimeChimp.
If the customer does not exist: create customer.
Fields to fill in: see customer table Teamleader: Customer name, Customer number
There is no need to create customers in Timechimp when they are created or existing in Teamleader. ONLY when a new project is created for that customer, this check has to be done.
- When the customer is existing or has been created:
Create the project. Following fields have to be filled in:
Project name = Description of the deal
Project code = number of the deal
Starting date = date of creation
End date = Delivery date (see deal) + 1 month. —> remark: Delivery date is a custom field
Other fields: do not have to be set up - REMARK: check if all employees are standard allocated to the project and all activities are standard allocated to the project.
The flow is unidirectional: from Teamleader to Timechimp, no updates are allowed in the other direction.
E.g. The field that will change the most, is the delivery date. Other fields are no subject to updates.
