Hi, French is one of my working languages (I'm an EN-FR-AR translator), so writing to a French university office is straightforward for me. From what I've found, the Bordeaux universities handle third-party degree checks by email: a verification request form, plus the graduate's signed authorisation (procuration) and a copy of their ID. As soon as I have those, I'll write to the right faculty's diploma office in French the same day and keep following up until they confirm in writing. You'll get their written reply (scans or screenshots) and a short report listing every contact: who, when and how, so your chain of custody is clean. The candidate's data is only used for this check and deleted afterwards. If the university says it will take longer than a week, I'll tell you the same day. One question: was the degree from Université de Bordeaux or Université Bordeaux Montaigne? They're separate universities with slightly different procedures. Thanks, Mabrouki
