Seeking an experienced **QA Engineer with full-stack development capabilities** to manually test an entire SaaS web application, identify and investigate defects, implement approved fixes, and regression-test those fixes. **Manual QA is the primary responsibility of this role.** You must personally walk through and use the deployed application in a real browser as a customer, business user, and Platform Admin/staff user would. Automated tests, typechecks, builds, scripts, linting, and other code-level checks are welcome as additional safeguards, but **they do not replace hands-on manual testing of the deployed application.** Full-Platform Testing Scope You will manually test all available pages, modules, and critical workflows across: **Public Website & Customer Experience** * Marketing and informational pages * Navigation, links, buttons, and forms * Public booking/customer experience * Service and provider selection * Availability and scheduling * Customer information and confirmations * Payments where applicable * Booking changes and cancellations * Validation and error states **Entire Business Side** * Registration and onboarding * Authentication and account recovery * Dashboard * Appointments, calendar, and scheduling * Clients/customers * Services * Team/providers and availability * Payments and refunds * Free trials, subscriptions, billing, plan changes, and cancellations * Reports/analytics * Account management and settings * Roles and permissions * Emails and notifications * Other available business functionality **Entire Platform Admin / Staff Side** * Admin/staff authentication * Admin dashboard * Business and account administration * User management * Support functionality * Administrative tools and workflows * Roles and permissions * Protected functionality * Platform-level settings/actions * Other available Platform Admin/staff functionality The **entire business side and entire Platform Admin/staff side are required parts of the testing scope.** Manual QA Requirements Testing must involve real end-to-end use of the application, not simply confirming that pages load. You will be expected to: * Navigate through all major areas of the application * Test buttons, links, menus, tabs, forms, modals, and other interactive elements * Create, edit, and delete QA/test data * Complete critical workflows from beginning to end * Test valid and invalid inputs * Test validation, empty, loading, success, and error states * Verify data and session persistence * Test authentication, protected routes, roles, and permissions * Test unauthorized-access scenarios where appropriate * Test interactions between customer, business, and admin workflows where applicable * Test desktop and mobile/responsive behavior * Test major supported browsers * Perform exploratory and edge-case testing * Identify functional, data, permission, workflow, and significant usability problems You should actively look for issues that may not already be known. QA Documentation & Bug Reporting Maintain a clear **QA test matrix/checklist** showing what was manually tested, including the area/workflow, user role, result (**PASS / FAIL / BLOCKED**), related issue when applicable, and retest status. Each identified bug should include: * Clear issue title and severity * Area/user role affected * Steps to reproduce * Expected vs. actual behavior * Screenshot or screen recording when useful * Browser/device where relevant * Technical findings/root cause when identified * Fix and retest status A general statement that “QA passed” or “everything looks good” is not sufficient. We need clear documentation of actual test coverage. Full-Stack Debugging & Bug Fixing You must also be capable of technically investigating the issues you discover. This may include diagnosing problems involving: * Frontend * Backend/server * Database/data * Authentication * Authorization/permissions * APIs * Third-party integrations * Environment/configuration * Deployment/infrastructure For **approved defects**, you will implement appropriate fixes, keep changes appropriately scoped, and avoid unrelated modifications. Significant changes involving architecture, database schemas, security, billing logic, permissions, infrastructure, or core product behavior must be approved before implementation. After a fix is available in the QA environment, you must **manually reproduce and retest the original workflow and check related functionality for regressions.** GitHub & Development Workflow **All code changes must be completed and delivered through our existing GitHub repository and established branch/deployment workflow. GitHub is the source of truth for the application code.** You will be expected to: * Work from the existing GitHub repository * Use the designated QA/development branch * Follow the established branch/deployment workflow * Make clear, appropriately scoped commits * Push completed work to GitHub * Keep changes traceable and available for review * Not create a replacement repository or separate codebase * Not leave completed work only on a local machine * Not make direct production changes outside the approved workflow Manual testing should be performed against the appropriate **deployed QA/staging environment**, while approved code fixes should be made through the established GitHub workflow. Production deployments and other high-impact changes require approval. Qualifications Looking for someone with experience in both **professional manual QA and full-stack web development**, including: * Manual and exploratory SaaS testing * Regression and end-to-end testing * JavaScript/TypeScript * React or similar frontend frameworks * Backend/API development * SQL/relational databases * Authentication and authorization * APIs and third-party integrations * Git/GitHub * Browser developer tools and network inspection * Application logs and debugging * Responsive web applications * Deployment/configuration troubleshooting Experience with **React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL/Supabase, Cloudflare, Stripe, Playwright, Cypress, or similar technologies** is a plus. Deliverables By completion of the engagement, we expect: * Manual testing of the full provided platform * Public/customer experience tested * Entire business side tested * Entire Platform Admin/staff side tested * QA test matrix with PASS / FAIL / BLOCKED results * Bugs documented with reproducible evidence * Approved defects fixed through GitHub * Fixes manually retested in the deployed QA environment * Regression testing completed * Critical end-to-end workflows verified * Remaining known issues and blockers clearly documented This is a **hands-on manual QA + full-stack debugging and bug-fixing role**. We need someone who will actually use the deployed product, find problems, investigate them technically, fix approved defects through GitHub, and manually verify that the application works afterward.

Hello Having spent over six years bridging the gap between manual QA and full-stack development, I understand how critical real-world browser testing is for SaaS platforms. I will personally walk through your app across all user roles—customer, business, and platform admin—to uncover edge cases, log clear defect reports, and dive straight into the codebase to patch approved bugs without breaking existing features. What tech stack is your SaaS built on, and do you have a staging environment ready for testing? Best regards, Giáp Văn Hưng

Hi, I looked at your requirements and the priority is genuine hands-on QA coverage of the deployed SaaS, not just automated checks or page-load testing. I’d work through the customer, business, and admin journeys manually, including permissions, billing, scheduling, validation, responsive behavior, and edge cases. I’d maintain the requested PASS/FAIL/BLOCKED test matrix, document reproducible bugs with evidence, then investigate approved defects through the existing GitHub workflow. After each fix, I’d manually retest the original flow and related areas for regressions. Quick questions: Q1. Is the QA/staging environment already populated with test accounts and representative data for each role? Q2. Is there an existing bug tracker linked to GitHub, or should issues be documented directly in the repository? These details will let me start testing against your existing workflow without disrupting production. Fernando Garcia

==== Hi - Truong here ==== "FULL PLATFORM MANUAL QA AND BUG FIXING" - you need someone to actually use every customer, business, and admin workflow, then fix and retest the bugs found. I’d test the deployed QA environment as each real user role, covering permissions, billing, booking, forms, sessions, responsive behavior, errors, and cross-role workflows. Every failure goes into a clear PASS / FAIL / BLOCKED matrix with reproduction steps, evidence, severity, and retest status. For fixes, I’d trace the issue through the frontend, API, database, or auth layer as needed, then make only approved changes through your existing GitHub branch and manually reproduce the original workflow after deployment. Which QA environment and GitHub branch should I start with? Looking forward to work with you.

Hi, I looked at your requirements and understand that the priority is hands-on QA of the deployed SaaS, followed by technically correct fixes and regression testing—not simply running automated checks. I can manually test the complete customer, business, and admin experiences across workflows, permissions, authentication, billing, scheduling, forms, integrations, responsive behavior, and edge cases. I’ll maintain a clear PASS/FAIL/BLOCKED test matrix and document defects with reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, evidence, environment details, and severity. For approved issues, I can investigate frontend, backend, API, database, authentication, and deployment problems, implement scoped fixes through your existing GitHub workflow, then manually retest the original workflow and related functionality for regressions. Two quick questions: Do you already have QA/staging credentials for the customer, business, and Platform Admin roles? Which browsers and mobile devices are officially supported and should be included in the test matrix? Jonas Dedzo

Hi, I can provide a reliable solution that manually tests your full SaaS platform and fixes approved defects by focusing on end-to-end QA coverage, full-stack debugging, and regression verification. The most important part of this is hands-on testing across customer, business, and Platform Admin workflows. If this is not handled correctly, it can cause missed defects, broken permissions, and regressions in critical user paths. To meet the requirements, I plan to work through the deployed QA environment in a real browser, document coverage in a clear test matrix, reproduce and investigate failures, implement approved fixes through your GitHub workflow, and then retest the affected flows plus nearby areas for regressions. One point I would pay special attention to is authentication and role-based access. I would handle this by validating protected routes, session behavior, and unauthorized-access scenarios while checking API responses and browser network activity. Best regards, Artem

Hi, Diego Vinicius here from Brazil. I understand the need for a QA Engineer with full-stack capabilities to manually test and debug a SaaS web application thoroughly. The primary challenge lies in ensuring comprehensive testing across all user roles and workflows, including business and admin functionalities. My approach involves meticulous manual testing of the entire platform, prioritizing end-to-end use cases and critical workflows. I emphasize detailed documentation, clear bug reporting, and systematic bug fixing through GitHub, ensuring all changes are appropriately scoped and tested for regressions. Clarifying Questions: - How many team members will be involved in this project? - Are there any specific third-party integrations that require special attention? - What is the expected frequency of deployments or updates? I look forward to discussing how we can collaborate effectively on this project.

Hi, Abror here, from Uzbekistan. I'm a full stack developer with 8+ years of experience working with full-stack development, API integration, databases, and web application testing. You need hands-on manual QA across the complete SaaS platform, followed by technical investigation, approved fixes through GitHub, regression testing, and a traceable QA matrix covering customer, business, and admin workflows. The main challenge is maintaining broad manual coverage while connecting each discovered defect to its technical cause, controlled fix, and verified regression result. 1. Build the QA matrix and manually exercise critical workflows, roles, permissions, forms, payments, subscriptions, and responsive behavior. 2. Investigate confirmed defects across frontend, APIs, backend, database, authentication, and integrations, then implement approved scoped fixes. My full-stack background fits the debugging, API, database, GitHub workflow, and web application investigation required alongside manual testing. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 - Is the QA environment already deployed and populated with test accounts? This affects initial coverage. Q2 - Should critical workflows be tested first? I recommend prioritising billing, permissions, authentication, and bookings. Happy to go over the details here in chat and suggest the best approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

The emphasis on manual QA as the primary responsibility is crucial for ensuring the functionality of your SaaS application. I’d approach this by thoroughly navigating through all user roles, from customers to admin, to identify and document defects while implementing necessary fixes. My plan involves first conducting a comprehensive walkthrough of the public website and business side to document any issues. Next, I’d focus on the platform admin functionalities, ensuring all user management and administrative workflows operate smoothly. Before starting, I’d confirm the specific critical workflows you want prioritized for testing. With a strong background in full-stack development and QA, I’ve completed over 126 projects on Freelancer with a 98% completion rate. What specific areas or functionalities do you foresee as the most challenging to test?

Hello, Artur Gizycki from Warsaw, Poland here. Your full-platform manual QA scope needs real browser workflows across customer, business, and Platform Admin roles, followed by reproducible bug reports, approved fixes, and regression checks. I can work through the deployed QA environment while using the GitHub workflow for scoped fixes. The important part is testing role boundaries and data persistence across workflows, not just checking whether pages load. I would use Website Testing, Full Stack Development, JavaScript, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Git, and Debugging where applicable. Q1 - How many distinct user accounts or roles will be available for QA testing? Q2 - Which browsers and mobile devices are considered officially supported? I would first map the major workflows into the QA matrix, then reproduce and document failures before fixing approved defects and manually retesting the affected paths. Looking forward to working with you.
