Fundraising Consultant for Community-Based Organization

Job Posting: Fundraising Consultant Organization: Bethel organization Location: Kangemi, Nairobi, Kenya Bethel organization is a registered community-based organization (CBO) and faith-based church in Nairobi. We work with vulnerable families in Kangemi, focusing on food support, education (school uniforms), and small-scale income-generating projects such as poultry farming. Role: Fundraising Consultant We are seeking a fundraising consultant or resource mobilizer to help us secure grants, donations, and partnerships. Since we are at the early stages, we prefer a hybrid payment arrangement that balances sustainability with accountability: - A success bonus / commission for funds successfully raised, agreed upon in advance and capped. Scope of Work - Identify potential funders (local and international, especially Christian/faith-based). - Draft grant proposals, concept notes, and fundraising letters. - Support donor outreach and follow-up communication. - Provide fundraising strategy guidance for Bethel organization . Preferred Profile - Experience in nonprofit fundraising or grant writing (community-based background an advantage). - Strong network of donor contacts or proven fundraising track record. - Based in Nairobi/Kenya (preferred), though remote consultants are welcome. Compensation - Success bonus: percentage or fixed fee per secured grant/donation, capped and transparent. - Terms to be discussed openly before engagement.
