I’ve worked on similar handheld device enclosures before and this one is right in my wheelhouse — compact electronics housing with proper DFM is something I do regularly. My approach for this would be to start with 2-3 rough ID directions so you can pick the design language before I go deep into CAD. No point building a full model if the form isn’t what you imagined. Once direction is locked, I’ll build the full CAD with all DFM considered — wall thickness, draft angles, snap fits, parting line placement, vent grille sizing for actual airflow — not just cosmetic slots. Engineering drawings will cover every part with proper GD&T so it’s actually manufacturable, not just pretty on screen. Prototype I’ll print in-house so you get a real physical model to hold and evaluate before we call it done. One thing I want to flag — the vent placement for PM2.5 sensors needs some thought. If it’s too close to the grip zone your hand partially blocks airflow and throws readings off. I’ve handled this before and I’ll make sure the geometry accounts for it.
