Hi, I create online courses (professional development for teachers) with and organisation called Teacher Training Australia ([url removed, login to view]) which is now also Cambridge Education UK. The online courses currently operate across Australia. Next year we open in NZ ([url removed, login to view]) I also oversee the creation of online courses by other presenters. It is an area of operation which is rapidly increasing and we are at the beginning stages. Obviously there is a lot of written materiel which requires proofing and I've been looking for a solution for some time. [url removed, login to view] is likely the solution.
What I have read on your profile tells me you are likely more than suitable. This is not a task which is required in the imminent future - I currently have 4 courses and I am creating 3 new courses. When they are finished is probably the best time to send you the proofing. If this works out I'd be happy to recommend you to other presenters who will require proofing.
As this is my first time to Freelancer I am writing this because I want to know:
a) what is the minimum job in time/money (this is why I probably need to wait till I have a lot of proofing for you to do)
b) what platform do you use? (PC/Mac - if Mac do you use text-edit, pages)?
c) what is the best format for you to proof (the courses are in moodle. I assume it would be best for me to copy all text into word docs and send to you - although I could give you access to the courses and you copy the text to your own word docs and proof from those.
d) Do you make the changes yourself, use track changes, or other?
e) The other possibility (which I only thought of while writing this) would be for me to copy the text into google docs and send you the links - that way you could make changes as well as suggestions really easily. Do you have experience with google Docs?
I might be cheating here because I see this is meant to be a legit 'now' job. I assume your $7.50 US rate is fine but the sire will not accept the decimal. I'd guess this will only be a few hours work initially. Hence I've put 5h/wk and less than a week. I would definitely use the hourly rate. Oh, I just saw your minimum job was $2. Is this correct? I thought is was $30 min for everyone??? If that's the case then we could trial one of the options above on part of it first.
You have an interesting skills set and its made me think of a few other possibilities in the future.
Looking forward to your response.
