Children's Adventure Book Writing

I need a writer to create an engaging children's adventure book targeted towards 6-8-year-olds. The book should be suitable for illustration, capturing the imagination of young readers. Key Requirements: - The story should be an adventure tailored for children aged 6-8 years. - The main themes of the adventure is friendship, family, culture, respect for others (including animals) and the planet. - The story must be based on two characters (who appeal to both boys and girls) who are rowing across the Atlantic (don't mind if they rig up a sail at some point) to get to the Caribbean island of Montserrat ( from where their family originate), in order to celebrate St Patrick's Day with their relatives. -They will have experiences on the way that draw out the intended message of the book - Characters are not restricted to animals, children, or fantasy creatures, allowing for unique and imaginative character development. This idea is inspired by a row across the Atlantic which the client undertook in Dec 2024. The client is very familiar with Montserrat. Ideal Skills and Experience: - Experience in writing children's literature, particularly for the 6-8 age group. - Ability to craft engaging and imaginative stories that can be easily illustrated. - Creativity in developing unique themes and characters that captivate young readers. Writer will need to develop an understanding of the island, history and culture of Montserrat.
