Looking for an experienced Linux Developer to design an IP video delivery system. System will be viewed on a television through a TV capable set top box (STB) with built in web browser. Must be menu driven on the television and take commands from a STB remote control. System would offer "categories" on the screen. Once "category" is selected must be able to search through a server of video files in a simple remote control application such as a-f and g-k and select video etc (Any good options, different from then one I listed, that can be offered for search capability will be entertained). Menus and content will be served to the boxes over the network from a Linux based server (none selected yet, will take recommendations yet must be inexpensive for this application). Ideally system should be made to be as simple as possible to install, ideally plug and play. By this I mean setup the server on the network, plug in applicable STB's to the network and TV, and boxes will identify the server, update relevant information, and be ready for use. Willing to hear multiple options for delivery and design. the STB's do come with a TV optimized web browser so a web based application can be considered. System must be easy to install, efficient, and be displayed with an attractive interface. Options to the system would be a wireless keyboard. Would like to talk to the winning bidder about an add-on to offer this to greater utilize the systems web capabilities. The STB company also offers developer tools to make system development easier and I am willing to buy and provide this to the winning bidder. Winning bidder will also recieve all necessary hardware to test the system from me. Please ask any questions you may have and i will do my best to answer them. I have attached a cutsheet of the STB to be used on the system.
