Wordpress-based Website Re-design

Project Background The company is involved in sales, service and support of computer hardware and software. Our firm is requesting a re‐design proposal from vendors to help update the website to a contemporary design and increase page views and conversions. We need a website that will allow us to promote and leverage our content using a flexible and aesthetically pleasing design. The current web design was implemented in Fall 2012. Website Objectives • Provide a more engaging, positive experience for visitors to our website • Increase awareness of our products, services, and capabilities • Create distinct landing pages for target audiences (visitors involved with specific vertical markets that our firm targets) • Simplify the main navigation bar(s) across the top of the homepage, and minimize scrolling down on homepage • Improve navigation menus and page organization across the site • Use complimentary colors to make the overall site more dynamic and visually appealing • Feature sliders that link to specific product or landing pages with the overall goal to increase conversion rates • Must use Wordpress and utilize a child-theme that is based on a commercial, supported, and maintained Wordpress theme. Preference is given to any theme from Elegant Themes ([login to view URL]) but other themes can also be used. • Integrate the existing blog into the main site, and be able to create other blogs/microsites to integrate with the main site, if necessary • Leverage Facebook, and Twitter on the homepage • Include on-page SEO for specific page/keyword targeting • While not required at this time, it is desirable that the redesigned website is e-commerce ready and will require minimal work for its implementation. It is expected that all current website content will be re-used and additional content added, as necessary. Bidder Evaluation Criteria 1. Cost of project, additional development/support 2. Timeline and ability to complete project on time 3. Examples of previous work/track record (no bids will be considered without an example portfolio) 4. Integration abilities The winning bidder is expected to provide migration assistance to transition from the current website to the re-designed one.
