AusIDentities ([login to view URL]) is the brain child of Michael White who first set up the training program in 2005, while working with high-school students who had become disengaged from school. It is a uniquely Australian approach to personality profiling that is fun, effective and easy to apply.
AusIDentities is presented as a fresh, dynamic alternative to existing models of type, such as the Myers-Briggs (MBTI), DISC and many more. The program, the characters and the resources are all visually appealing, rich in content and solutions, and low on the overly complex theories that often accompany such instruments.
Students will complete an online app. It consists of a series of questions which have no right or wrong answer but assist the program to profile the individual. Once completed, the student will be matched with one of four Australian animals (Kangaroo, Eagle, Wombat, or Dolphin) which becomes their totem. They will also be provided with an explanation of their personality traits.
This totem and learning about the characteristics of their personality assists the student to have a greater awareness and understanding of themselves in relation to work, life and learning. It assists students and their teachers to understand the individual’s values and deeper needs when considering future study options or choice of career.
Our big picture goals and objectives with this program is to:
• Improve the opportunities and Experiences of International students who come to Australia.
• See a noted change in the current disengagement of the youth market.
• Ultimately reduce, depression and other mental health conditions that can arise with our international students while studying abroad.
• Reduce the suicide of International students
Banora International Group just completed a light release to the International market at the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) in April 2019. It was received extremely well by Tourism and Education Agents, who are and will be our target market for this product.
• Challenges will be like any new product, while received positively to date, actually having agents / students commit to using the application may be a challenge.
Schools might have a preference to use competitors such as Myer Brigs, Disc program etc. However, these are not relatable to International students. It is because of this gap; we see it being a success.
We need a logo created that reflects our goals and objectives for this company. Due to blue the king of colours and because it represents intelligence, trustworthiness and maturity, we are leaning towards this colour. However, we are completely open to ideas.
