We need a new website developed for a beauty business we are currently rebranding.
We are currently 'Cleopatra Spray Tanning and Beauty' ([login to view URL]) but are in the process to rebrand our business to 'Charlie Be', full name 'Charlie Be for Beauty' ([login to view URL]) to indicate a focus more on other beauty services other than spray tanning.
We've already had a logo made up, the business and domain name registered, and have some graphics in mind. We like the pop art look, and would like to tap into the quirkiness of pop-art as a the image of our business.
-We want to appeal to both a male and female clientele, between the ages of 16 to 70.
-We chose "Charlie Be" because we liked the idea of a uni-sex name, and we were going for something 'quirky". We are going to use pop art as our aesthetic in our advertising and website. We have attached some images to give you an idea.
-When our potential clients see our site, we want them to associate us with fun, quirky, professional, friendly, inviting, un-pretentious, competent
-The treatments we will be providing are tanning, waxing, facials, nails, and lash and brow enhancements
-Currently, current and potential clients are only seeing us a tanning business. No one is really giving us a chance with our other treatments. I am sensing there is a lack of trust there. We need to win over these clients, and relaunch our new name and brand successfully.
- Our existing Cleopatra Spray Tan brand is quite feminine and whilst most of our clients are female, we wanted Charlie Be to not alienate the male clientele. We offer spray tanning and waxing for men, and would like to have a separate page that was male focused.
Logo and some planned artwork
Our logo is done and available in 4 different colors. We have also included some popart we've used or we like.

Our target market is woman between the ages of 16-70 and straight and gay men between the ages of 16-45.
The locals who live in the area are of a high disposable income. The area itself where our business is located is quirky and eccentric, with people from many walks of life.
Although many locals are friendly, the area has an albeit "pretentious" feel.
We are different from our competitors because we want to be gender-neutral. Our competitors are either overly feminine or totally male-exclusive.
We are fortunate in the fact that 3 of our competitors have left the area we are in, and we are the only ones at this stage who are offering affordable beauty treatments.
Here is a competitor's website that utilises a "book now" button next to their treatment menus which I quite like:

Sections of website
We'd like different pages for all our categories of services.
We were thinking (in no particular order)
Mens Services, (waxing and tanning)
Manicures and Pedicures,
Eyebrow and Lash enhancement
Facials and Skin Treatments
Contact us / How to Find us
About your therapist
Combos / Special Offers
Reviews / Testimonials (we already have some great reviews on facebook and google)
Our existing site was mainly a parallax one big scroll site, however we are thinking to move away from this and have dedicated pages for each product to improve our SEO. We'd also like to have sections for FAQs for each product.
Whilst we migrate sites from one brand to another, we'd like you to design a popup screen that would tell users that Cleopatra has now become Charlie Be with the option to visit either site.
We need a responsive layout that will scale neatly to mobile and tablet screens. The majority of our clients use mobile devices to visit our site and booking form.
Integration and Styling of our online booking platform
For our existing business we use Acuity Scheduling to allow clients to book online. [login to view URL]
Acuity has some limited customisations to allow it to be styled which we've taken advantage of [login to view URL]
At the moment, the book now buttons on our website link to a new page, but they can be embedded in a frame as well [login to view URL]
We'd like you to consider styles and colours for the online booking form and consider taking up the opportunity to embed the booking form within the larger page.
Alternatively, we can have Book Now buttons on each page against particular services.
We also offer online booking customers a 10% discount for paying online upfront.
Implementation & Deliverables
We've got HTML, CSS skills in house, but dont have the time to implement every page from photoshop mockups. Thus we'd like at least a few of the page templates written in HTML/CSS (or a theme file from your choice of CMS) so that the designs are technically feasible to implement in modern browsers and give us a template to work with for the remaining pages. We can negotiate the scope of the project between generating a few template pages and photoshop mockups versus the complete html implementation based on your own skills.
The site is currently hosted on Amazon as a static web page, that then links to our online booking system separately. The existing website is fast but we are open to any other CMS platforms like Wordpress (or anything faster) that allows non-technical users to change the content easily provided the sites visitors don't have to wait too long. We've used Webflow to help design our pages and copy but are not completely tied to it. If you've got a preference that you've used in the past and allows you to work quickly and efficiently please let us know.
