A task to redesign a portrait poster into landscape format, making necessary adjustments.
Every year, the Danish Squash Federation publishes an A3 size paper poster showing the main activities (tournaments, events) of the coming season. We call it an activity calendar. The poster design is based on the design of our web site, www.dansksquash.dk. The intention behind the design is to make readers/viewers think of a squash court. Only the texts on the poster have changed from year to year. Now we want to change the layout a bit by turning it 90 degrees, from portrait to landscape. This will allow us to have the activities displayed in two columns (first half season, second half season).
The task is to create the background picture in landscape format as Photoshop or InDesign files. We will then add the current texts plus any sponsor logos as needed in e.g. MS PowerPoint, generate a PDF file for printing and send it to our print shop.
The attached OpenOffice odg-file shows the poster elements to be included in the revided design (i.e. without texts).
The attached file is the poster from last season in OpenOffice odg format.
It is important that the revised background picture resembles the perspective as closely as possible to the dimensions of a real squash court, as seen from the left side. See dimensions and perspective here: [url removed, login to view]
