Objective: Optimize, Enhance and ultimately improve, Layout, Design and Print-ability
What: Cards explaining plant material. Used to simplify researching of plant material out in the nature using these cards. At the moment we are talking about 24 cards and an empty template that is needed.
1. Reduce File size:
Behind the pictures are a set of different pictures. Those need deleting to reduce file overall size. Only the front visible pictures to show. This will be required only if Excel will be used to create the new set of cards
2. Resize the cards to standard poker card size:
Now, the cards are set to Trump style card size. This is no good when my intention is to put these cards in a card box, and most common card box sizes are poker card boxes.
3. Layout/Size/Fond/Positioning/visually pleasing:
The cards must be visually appealing and clear. This means the layout and the fond size must be pleasing to read. The intention here is to have a standard format and fond with this goal in mind for all cards. Including sizing/positioning. Ie Properly organized. Should there be an option to enhance the clarity of the pictures, this be an added bonus. If no changes are done and the cards are transferred into a different platform ie Word, then this becomes important for it to have a similar effect as they are today in Excel.
An empty template needs to be created too, so I may continue with adding new cards to the set.
Now, my number one issue is that printing these cards require a lot of printing settings and still it’s not perfectly aligned taking the back and front pages together. When cutting this into cards, there are white spaces on the edges, that makes it clear alignment isn’t good. This needs to be simplified for easy printing and perfectly aligned both sides to support maximum number of cards on one page, font and back printed. It is also important that the platform/file format that will be used is freely available for printing companies to be able to print it. Ie: PDF, Word, Excel, Picture formats, etc
