It is my wife and I's first year anniversary and I thought it might be a fun idea to create a comic strip and frame it from the first time that we met. 6 panes on 1 image: Ideally, it starts with meeting playing volleyball (she was a sub for my team). We didn't start dating immediately as she was a bit older and had a sister she tried to pawn me off on. That said, she decided I wasn't for her sister and instead she was into me. We had our first date at a local pizza place named "homeslice" and ended up dating thereafter! We got engaged in Italy and then married in Louisville after the pandemic pushed our wedding date back a year! 1st Pane: We met playing volleyball on the same team. I'll provide pictures of us both for reference. Below is the place where we first met playing volleyball. She subbed in for our team and we were friends at first. [login to view URL] 2nd Pane: I got the nerve to ask her on our first date. We both are competitive, she used to play basketball in college, though is quite short. We played a game of knockout before going to Homeslice (a pizza parlor for our first date). [login to view URL] We had a blast. 3rd Pane: We started dating after that. I was travelling every week (Monday thru Thursday) and so Alison needed some company. I asked her not to, but she ended up finding a dog, much to my displeasure! She called me while I was away on travel and shared photos of this puppy, Louie. He is a sheepadoodle (I'll provide pictures). At first I was displeased, but then I was quite happy and grew to love Louie. I proposed in Cinque Terre, Italy in the town of Manarola. It was incredible. She said yes, and we had the best week after that.
