HTML5 custom slideshow

HTML5 image rotator Overview: We need to create a HTML5 web application that will create different slideshows. The URL for each slideshow will be embedded into a digital signage player so that it can display that slideshow within a given area of the screen, while other regions of the screen show unique content. Users will assign a calendar start and stop date to each slide. This needs to be an extremely simple backend UI, so Wordpress may not be the best solution. Function / Workflow: * Users login and see all of the slideshows that are available, based on their credentials * They select a slideshow to edit. * From there, they can adjust the order of slides and the duration for each slide. * They can also (optionally) set a start and end date for each slide from a calendar popup. When changes are made by someone with a Content Editor role, an email is sent to everyone configured as a Publisher role. Any publisher can then approve the changes. Admins have an additional area to add / remove slideshows. They will probably never create more than 6 slideshows. Roles and Access: * Admin - Everything / Create new users / Create new slideshows (each is a unique URL) / Assign which slideshows the other two users can access * Publisher - Approve and publish / edit / create * Content Editor - Upload slides to specific slideshows / Set and edit start and stop dates for each slide. Notes: The most important element of this project is simplicity and ease of use for the UI. There should be nothing distracting or confusing and no buttons that are not used for this workflow. Each slideshow and each slide should have a thumnail that is autogenerated from the slides. Re-arranging slides should be drag and drop and users should be able to shift-click to select multiple slides to edit (move or change start and stop dates). Users should be able to batch upload several slides at a time. Slides should be shown in a list format and allow sorting by any field (filename, start date, end date, date published, or user who uploaded the slide)
