I need a backend developper/anyone techsavy enough in the programming language Python to add proxy (HTTP/S and optionally SOCKS) support to the open-source asynchronous requests-like httplib "asks" ([login to view URL]) Some additional info: - The proxy support must not change the library's behaviour towards non-proxy related requests and queries. As such, once the proxy support implemented, the asks library should still work as intended with old proxyless asks code that was written before the implementation - The library must still work with the Trio and the anyio library and be truly asynchronous (asks natively works with Trio, anyio and Curio) - Concurrent requests speed with Trio is a major key element - The proxy support should be easily implementable similarly to how proxies work in the synchronous "requests" python library: [login to view URL] The product will need to be delivered as a pull request to the library's github and/or a .zip containing the library's modified source code
