Children's Christmas book illustration

The project in question is for the illustration of a children’s Christmas-themed book. A detailed RFP is attached with more information, but the project can be summarized as followed:
The book is anticipated to have 34 pages of content, each of which will require illustration. Also required is a cover illustration and one additional page of interior illustration for the title page. The printed page size will be no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches (plus bleeds).
Your proposal should include a total price for all 36 illustrations, a portfolio showing work of the type and quality that can be expected for that price, and a timeline for completion.
Several qualifying bidders will be selected to provide sample two-page spreads. For this exploratory work, the illustrator will be paid a negotiated fee relative to the total bid. The artist will be selected from these and awarded the full contract.
