Like John Lennon said, "I believe in Yoko and me!" World is full of magics, I-Chings, Bibles, tarots, Hitlers, Jesuses, Kennedys, Buddhas, mantras, Gitas, yoga, kings, Elvises, Zimmermans, Beatles, etc.
Digital world has web sites, e-commerce sites, social media accounts, SEOs, SEMs, SMMs, PPCs, ROIs, CTRs, funneling, tunneling, upsells, downsells, too many Google products, etc. I believe in REAL CONTENT. Real products, real services, real people, real clients! If your digital marketing pyramid does not have a real foundation (your digital strategy and web site content), you will just lose time and find yourself spending money on so many media, digital tools and people.
Throughout the years, I have seen many businesses and even companies with annual revenues over USD 100M spending more on advertising than their own digital assets. If you are spending thousands of dollars on search engine and/or social media advertising, but spending much less on your web site itself, then you're doing wrong!
If you don't have a digital strategy, don't build a web site. If you don't have a web site, you can not have interactive applications (forms, user sign up, shopping carts, payment integration, etc.). If you only have the strategy, the web site and the applications, you should start SEO. If you are done with all these four, then you better start having social media accounts. Finally, you can advertise either on Google or Facebook or Instagram or elsewhere, but watch out for your costs.
