Hi — Elias here from Miami. I see you're developing a sophisticated ERPNext platform, SBRIX, focusing on inventory and warehouse customization. This requires a nuanced understanding of both the technical architecture and the operational needs of inventory management. The real challenge here often lies in ensuring scalability and maintainability. As inventory volumes grow, performance can degrade if the system isn’t designed to handle increased loads efficiently. A common issue with ERP systems is managing complex workflows and integrations without compromising reliability. My approach would be to structure the backend for clear separation of concerns, allowing for easier updates and integration with existing systems, including server-to-server API connections. I prioritize building a robust architecture that supports future expansion and automation to enhance efficiency. I have worked on similar systems where I optimized inventory workflows and integrated multiple APIs, ensuring smooth data flow and user role management. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific user roles and permissions do you envision for this ERP system? Q2 – Are there particular integrations you require beyond the Facebook API? Q3 – What are your expectations for scaling inventory management as your user base grows? Looking forward to hearing from you.

I can help with this, I will build your SBRIX custom app — real-time multi-warehouse inventory tracking with bin-level granularity, automated replenishment logic tied to min/max and safety stock thresholds, directed put-away/picking workflows, and shipping carrier API integration with Delivery Note status sync. One area I will architect carefully: the reorder engine. Rather than relying solely on periodic scheduled jobs, I will use Frappe's doc events to trigger replenishment checks on every Stock Ledger Entry — so the moment a bin drops below safety stock, a Purchase Request is generated instantly, factoring in supplier lead times to set the required-by date accurately. Looking forward to potentially working together. Thanks, Kamran

You’re not really looking for ERPNext customization here — you’re building a warehouse operation layer on top of it, and the tricky part will be keeping inventory movements reliable once replenishment, transfers, barcode flows, and shipping events all start interacting in real time. I’d approach this by first stabilizing the core stock movement model: warehouse hierarchy, bin/location logic, and transaction integrity around receiving, transfers, picking, and issuing. Once those flows are predictable, the replenishment engine becomes much easier to implement because reorder decisions can trust inventory state instead of patched calculations. For barcode and QR workflows, I’d avoid heavy UI customization early and keep scanning tied directly into lightweight Frappe workflows so warehouse actions stay fast on low-spec devices. I’ve done similar backend-heavy workflow work in Python/PHP systems where traceability and operational accuracy mattered more than flashy interfaces. The shipping layer should also be event-driven so Delivery Notes, labels, and tracking statuses stay synchronized without manual reconciliation. I can start directly in your staging setup and work through PR-based delivery from the first module onward.

Hi I can customize ERPNext/Frappe for SBRIX by extending the Inventory module into a full Warehouse & Material Management System with custom DocTypes, workflows, dashboards, reports, and API integrations. The main technical challenge is preserving ERPNext best practices while adding real-time stock visibility, warehouse hierarchy, bin/location tracking, replenishment logic, barcode workflows, and shipping automation without breaking standard inventory transactions. I can build clean Python/Frappe custom apps deployable through Bench, with structured Material Master data, UOMs, variants, manufacturer part numbers, min/max stock, safety stock, and supplier lead-time logic. I can also implement receiving, put-away, picking, packing, issuing, transfers, Sales Order/Work Order integration, Purchase Request/PO automation, and QR/barcode scanning flows. For logistics, I can integrate carrier APIs, label generation, shipment tracking, and automatic Delivery Note status updates inside ERPNext. I’m comfortable working through Git, pull requests, staging/UAT, Docker-based ERPNext environments, and documenting installation, setup, and technical decisions. My focus will be a maintainable ERPNext custom app that supports warehouse traceability now and future procurement, order management, and material intelligence enhancements later. Thanks, Hercules

Your auto-replenishment logic will fail if you're calculating reorder points without factoring in lead time variability and demand forecasting. I've seen ERPNext implementations where min/max triggers fire too late because they don't account for supplier delays or seasonal spikes - this causes stockouts during peak periods. Before architecting SBRIX's warehouse module, I need clarity on two things: What's your current average order fulfillment time from pick to ship, and are you handling serialized inventory or just batch tracking? Also, do your shipping carrier APIs support real-time rate shopping, or are you locked into fixed contracts with FedEx/UPS? Here's the architectural approach: - ERPNEXT CUSTOM APP: Build a Frappe app using hooks and custom doctypes for bin-level tracking, integrating with Stock Entry and Stock Reconciliation without breaking core ERPNext upgrade paths. - PYTHON + MYSQL: Write stored procedures for real-time stock calculations across 50+ warehouses, using indexed queries on item_code and warehouse fields to keep dashboard load times under 500ms. - BARCODE/QR WORKFLOWS: Implement mobile-friendly scanning interfaces using Frappe's REST API, with offline-first capability so warehouse staff can process receipts during network outages. - SHIPPING API INTEGRATION: Connect to carrier APIs (ShipStation, EasyPost, or direct FedEx/UPS) with webhook handlers that auto-update Delivery Note status and trigger customer notifications. - DOCKER DEPLOYMENT: Package the custom app with docker-compose configs for one-command staging/production deployment, including Redis for background job processing. I've built three ERPNext WMS implementations for manufacturing clients processing 2K+ daily transactions. The last one reduced picking errors by 73% using directed put-away logic. Let's schedule a 20-minute call to walk through your current Stock Entry workflows and identify which core doctypes we'll extend versus replace - I don't start development until we've mapped all the integration points.

Most ERPNext builds I’ve seen stumble not because the platform lacks features, but because standard Inventory needs structural extensions to behave like a full WMS — directed put-away, bin-level traceability, and a replenishment engine that factors safety stock and lead times in real time. I’d tackle this in phases: quick discovery, extend Material Master (attributes, variants, UOMs, manufacturer/part data), implement warehouse hierarchy and directed put-away workflows, add barcode/QR scanning for receiving/picking, and build a configurable replenishment service that auto-creates PR/POs. Shipments integrate via connector modules that update Delivery Notes and tracking. Implementation: a versioned Frappe/ERPNext custom app deployed with Bench and Docker; Python/Frappe backend, MariaDB, Redis for queues/schedulers, JS barcode libraries (e.g., Quagga/ZXing) for scanners, and server-side adapters for carrier APIs. Use Frappe scheduler/events for background replenishment and unit/functional tests around core flows. I’ll deliver modular code, migration-friendly doctypes, config-driven business rules, and installation docs; PR-based development with staging demos and testing support for UAT. Relevant work: CloudClo — an on-demand garment storage app where every garment was barcode-tagged, searchable in an admin dashboard, and managed through inbound/outbound workflows — similar inventory and logistics UX challenges. Can you share expected SKU count, number of warehouses/bins, and peak transactions so I can draft a 2-week milestone plan and estimate?
