Straight up first: I have not personally walked a client through a UKAS accredited certification audit. My ISO 9001 credential is Bureau Veritas, lead internal auditor, and my work has been building quality management systems and running the internal audit cycle inside them. If a UKAS track record is your hard filter, tell me and I will step aside without wasting your time. What I do bring is the part from-scratch projects usually fail on. The documentation is the easy half. The system falls over when nobody uses it three months after the consultant leaves. Weeks 1 to 4: context, scope and interested parties, then a process map of how the business actually runs today rather than how it should. Quality manual, procedures and records built on that map. Risk register and objectives tied to real numbers instead of filler. Weeks 5 to 7: internal audit programme, first full cycle, findings raised and corrective actions opened with an owner and a date each. Management review pack prepared. Weeks 8 to 9: close out non-conformities, run a mock stage 1 and stage 2 clause by clause, hand over the improvement routine. A monthly KPI review with a fixed agenda, an action tracker, and a named owner for every process. Three questions. What sector and headcount, and how many sites? Is a certification body lined up, and is there a target audit date? Who inside the client will own the QMS after handover? That answer decides whether any of this holds. Atif
