This is the first part of a much longer Java ME (formerly J2ME) project. If you complete this project successfully on time, then I hope we will work together in the future.
I will *not* escrow $30 for you. Instead, you will provide me with a Java ME (J2ME) application (a JAD and a JAR file). If your application meets the requirements below and was submitted on time, then I will pay you $30. After you receive the $30 you will then provide me with your source code. We will then review your source code. If your source code is excellent then I will post another project for you on GetAFreelancer. We are not merely looking for a solution; we are looking for excellent code.
All deliverables will be considered “work made for hire” under U.S. Copyright law. You will give us exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
You will supply me with a Java ME application (a JAD and a JAR file) which I will attempt to load with a USB cable onto a Motorola i88s phone. This is an old phone running MIDP 1.0. I have uploaded the "i88s_Developer_Guide.pdf" along with this advertisement.
If I successfully load the Java ME application you supply me with onto the i88s phone then I will attempt to run your application. If I successfully run your application and if your application successfully finds the phone's location then I would see the following information display on the screen of the phone...
date, time, latitude, longitude, and speed
For example, if the phone were at latitude [url removed, login to view] and longitude [url removed, login to view] on May 19, 2008 at 8:30am and if at that time the phone were traveling at 6 miles per hour (the speed should be displayed in miles/hour not kilometers/hour) I would see the following displayed on the screen...

In the example above...
0805170830= 8:30am on May 19, 2008
and the 6 at the end indicates the phone was traveling at 6 miles per hour (not kilometers per hour but rather miles per hour).
