Manipulation of Semi Global Alignment algorithm in Bioinformatics, the pattern and text are matched/aligned to check the percentage of similarity, the percentage of false positive and the percentage of false negative. It uses dynamic programming technique matrices. Gap penalties/ score for both pattern and text are introduced and also match and mismatch score. Schonlau dataset was used to check the performance of the algorithm. The Semi Global alignment will be redesigned/redevelop/tweaked/ manipulated to give better performance hit rate more than 88 % compared to 82.1% stated in the document ([url removed, login to view])
