We are looking for a developer with Java/Kotlin and JITSI experience to help us customize the JITSI Video Bridge software.
Currently, we have a multi-regional JITSI setup. We have multiple video bridges and we enabled Octo to decrease the latency of users. We have a strong server setup on AWS and we need to optimize the current architecture to allow more than 100 participants on a single conference. For the moment, the real bottleneck of this setup seems to be the client part. Sending more than 100 participant’s audio and video to clients create performance issues on the browser and we implemented pagination for that purpose.
What we need is, even though we implemented the pagination on client side, we are still getting all the data (Video streams, audio streams) of all users. Let’s say that we have 100 participants in the conference and each page displays 20 people. Right now, we are getting the data of all users no matter what page we are in. We only want to get the video of users in the active page and we need someone to implement this on JITSI Video Bridge.
- Please share successful examples with video conferencing software and Java/Kotlin when submitting a bid
- Please share an approach and a methodology for the problem so we can take your bid seriously.
- Please don’t waste our time if you have no experience with JITSI and Java
