221079 Image/Text Display by Date

At the bottom of our front page ([login to view URL]), we'd like to display the small images (or HTML text?) running across the bottom by date--something like PHP-based sytem at [login to view URL] where the 170px x 100px images would be named by day on which they appear. To update, we simply want to upload properly named images to our server. We're running the JQuery framework already on these pages so if something could be found and adapted, that'd be great.
