To do:
Build a sample Facebook App which works
- as Website and
- as App on Facebook (flexible canvas)
No design work required, that will be added later. You can deliver a basic html + css design. You can use simple jQuery UI elements where needed, e.g. [url removed, login to view] to show the 2 tables mentioned below.
Use JavaScript SDK and Html5 version of Facebook API and for the back-end:

The app shows 2 tables where users can:
Table 1 (item type A - Properties: name, country, type)
- add an item
- like an item (FB Like)
- comment on an item (FB Comment)
- sort the table (by name, type, # of Likes, # of Comments)
- search an item
Table 2 (item type B - Properties: name, url, type)
- add an item
- recommend an item (FB Like)
- comment on an item (FB Comment)
- sort the table (by name, domain, type, # of Likes, # of Comments)
- search an item
- open link in lightbox (iframe/new window)
(no table paging required, use endless scrolling via JavaScript/jQuery)
If you need other libraries other than jQuery, let us know before we hire you.
The user will have to register to use the app (FB Register):
User Data required ...
- name (FB)
- gender (FB)
- age (custom)
- email (FB)
- location (FB)
Rights granted to App ...
> access data mentioned above
> user_likes
> read_friendlists
User actions will be posted on the Apps News Feed/Wall (actions are 'Like', 'Recommend', 'Comment', 'Add Item').
Users can send a request to their friends to
- invite them to use the app
- ask them to like an item
- ask them to recommend an item
- ask them to add an item
Admin can edit/delete items.
The project is finished after the code is installed / tested and bug-free running on our rackspace vserver (you will have SSH access). We won't make upfront payments.
