Job Title: Website Design for Transportation Rate Publishing and Shipment Tracking Job Description: We are looking for an experienced web designer and developer to create a website that will be used for publishing and searching transportation rates. The site will serve as a platform for users to compare transport rates and make bookings for the carriage of goods between locations. Additionally, the website will feature a variety of forms for users to submit queries, booking requests, and other relevant information, as well as a shipment tracking system to monitor the status of goods in transit at different stages. Key Features & Requirements: Rate Publishing & Searching: A user-friendly interface for publishing shipping rates for transport from various origin to destination ports. A search functionality allowing users to input their shipment details (origin, destination, cargo type, weight, etc.) and retrieve the best shipping rates from multiple carriers. Booking System: A booking feature allowing users to initiate the booking process for selected shipments. Integration of booking confirmation, payment gateway, and email notifications to users. Forms for Submissions: Query Forms: For users to submit inquiries about rates, shipping conditions, or any other questions. Booking Forms: To capture user details, shipment specifics, and payment information. Custom Forms: To collect other information related to transportation services, including special requirements, hazardous materials declarations, etc. Others Shipment Tracking: A tracking system that allows users to track the status of their shipments. Users should be able to view the progress of their shipments stage-wise (e.g., "In Transit," "Customs Clearance," "Delivered"). Real-time tracking updates, if possible, from integrated carrier systems. Design & Usability: Clean, modern design with easy navigation. Responsive and mobile-friendly interface. User-friendly dashboard for both end-users and admins to manage queries, bookings, and shipments. Back end Management System: An admin panel for managing shipping rates, bookings, queries, and customer information. The ability to update rates for air and ocean transport easily and efficiently. Reporting features for shipment statuses and user activities. SEO & Performance Optimization: SEO-friendly website structure for easy search engine indexing. Fast loading times and optimization for user experience. Technical Skills Required: Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) or custom development (e.g., Laravel, Django, or similar frameworks). Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Familiarity with third-party API integration for tracking and payment gateways. Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.). Ability to ensure security features such as SSL, data encryption, and secure payment processing. Additional Notes: The website should be easy to scale in the future, with the potential to add more transportation modes, additional languages, or region-specific features. Clear communication throughout the project is essential, including regular progress updates and feedback sessions. Portfolio of previous similar projects will be a plus.
