classic ASP is locked down and works perfectly today just as it did years ago. With a few librray files, code writing is easy as pie and examples are unlimited on the internet. And I am a big fan of classic Asp; With my very recent project with classic Asp, I have faced issues with Server side classic ASP code within client-side <script>; I was working on troubleshooting a page (in classic ASP), and stumbled upon the following piece of code within the <head> tag; VS is telling me that the <script> tag does not like any of the server-side <% %> code (it's telling me, "Syntax error"), and the page is not rendering correctly. It seems to be okay everywhere else outside the <script> tags. VS does not seem to recognize the <% %> tags within the <script> tags. They seem to be okay everywhere else. So was a bit stacked with this; Later I noticed that, Session("editHelp") contains a ' it will corrupt the JavaScript code. Doing Replace(Session("editHelp"), "'", "\'") or similar may well be safer if that string isn't already sanitised elsewhere in the code. Almost 13 years working with Classic Asp, C#, Asp.Net MVC,Bootstrap, entity Framework, Asp.Net core, VB.Net, C#, sql server . With Angular 2 to Angular 5, I have expertise to work with. Also I have worked with various Asp.Net CMS like Dot Net Nuke, Umbraco; Also have experienced with DevExpress and Telerik frontend components. Even worked with Javascript, HTML, CSS, Jquery, Ajax as well. Please ping me on convenience.
