Food Ordering Platform

The goal is to create a complete Android application and a simple web app that connects hungry customers with nearby restaurants or local hotels. Customers will browse digital menus, place orders, pay in-app, and watch real-time order progress. On the other side, restaurant or hotel owners receive incoming orders in their own interface, confirm preparation times, and automatically receive payment after the app deducts its commission. Key flow • Phone number + OTP is the single sign-up and log-in method, keeping onboarding quick and familiar in our market. • Payment processing is built in, so customers can settle the bill up front; the restaurant’s share is transferred instantly minus the pre-defined commission. • Order tracking keeps customers informed from confirmation through to hand-off to the courier. • After delivery, customers leave ratings and written reviews that feed back to the restaurant’s profile. Core deliverables • Customer-side Android app (Kotlin or Java) with browsing, cart, checkout, tracking, and review screens • Restaurant/Hotel owner Android module (or separate app) to manage menus, accept/decline orders, update status, and view payouts • Secure payment gateway integration with automated commission split • Firebase or similar phone-based authentication setup • Clean, well-documented source code and a short deployment guide so I can launch updates myself Acceptance criteria 1. A new user can register and log in with a verified phone number and OTP. 2. A test order placed by a customer appears instantly in the restaurant interface, can be accepted, and moves through each tracking stage. 3. Payment completes with the correct commission deduction reflected in both test wallets. 4. Post-delivery, the customer can publish a star rating and comment, visible on the restaurant profile. I’ll provide brand assets, the commission percentage, and initial menu data. Code quality, smooth UI, and clear documentation matter most so I can scale the platform after launch.
