I am seeking a Lawyer holding an Unrestricted Practicing Certificate to provide remote supervision to myself and possibly another newly admitted Lawyer. We are both mature-aged individuals who have come late to the legal services industry. Due to domestic circumstances we both find it necessary to work from home. During the period of Supervised Legal Practice, the Business will require the Supervising Legal Practitioner to provide a number of supervisory activities. The activities, and the anticipated likely time requirements, are to be undertaken remotely. The Supervising Legal Practitioner will be compensated by the Business for the amount of time devoted to undertaking the supervision activities. The remuneration of the Supervising Legal Practitioner will be negotiated between the Practitioner and the Lawyers. We have been in contact with the NSW Legal Services Commissioner, and the Law Societies of NSW, Queensland and Western Australia and have been advised that the proposed method of supervision is acceptable.
