I am in need of an experienced Linux guru who will be able to assist in organizing a linux box which will connect to the internet.
The main goals of the project will be:
o allow authorized user to access remotely control the box (vnc or something similar)
o setup a FTP to allow files to be transfered to/from the box
o have the contents on the drive be encrypted (using TrueCrypt or the like)
You would simply need to advice and provide a todo list / how to guide which will be implemented on location (you won't be doing physical installation)
End user has had mild experience with linux running it and using command line but knowledge is limited and needs assistance.
Experience is expected in building this type of setup.
I have been working with Linux since 1995. I've set up stand alone systems and server farms including ISP server rehabilitation. I can prepare a step by step process to setup a system as per your requirement and I'll be available to provide support after. Do you have any preferred Linux flavor you want to use?
I am an experienced Linux administrator, and have set up many of these servers. I can write you an admin's guide on how to do the complete install, incluing setting up FTP and VNC.
