Hello, Which port number you want to open on Linux server? Usually initial 1024 ports are privileged ports and require root access for the daemon/process to open the port. Port to be opened should be accessible only to intranet or you want it to be available over the public ip? For public ip, additional rules may be required on the router/firewall..
