Hi, I read about your project and I can help you to make it. I have made projects relationated with Raspberry Pi and setting AP to this device and many other (like ESP32 and ESP8266), and using leds to indicate WiFi connection. On my profile (https://www.freelancer.com/u/nico2747?w=f) you can see many projects that I made relationated with Rapsberry Programming. One that I made was a project where the client requires to make a program in node.js to obtain the information of the SSID found by the RPI and send this information to the Scroll Down of a Web Server, and connect the Raspberry PI to SSID through this Web Server. Also create an autorun so the program can be executed once the RPI starts, without using the commends in the terminal. Also, I’m making a project where the ESP8266 connects to the Raspberry Pi (acting this as Access Point) where the ESP sends a ID with JSON, the Raspberry verify the ID with a SQL database, and if it is true, the Raspberry will send a JSON data to configure the variables and the pinouts of the ESP, also send the address where the ESP can access to send information read and registered, and then the RPI receive them and send them to a SQL database. I've had already did it with the same RFID interfaced trough I2C port to Raspberry Pi, using a script in Node.js. Also, I could help you to add a buzzer or led, or send this information to an other service like Dweet.io.
