I'm looking for a linux system administrator to setup two services professionally for production use, on two separate VMs, backing up each other, setting up backups, and creating, testing and documenting step by step backup and restore procedures. The work will have to be conducted autonomously. I expect 1-2 weeks of full time work. You need to be located in the Schengen area to simplify the logistics of sending you company hardware.
Needed skills and experience: linux, bash scripting, jenkins, docker, git.
In your application, please:
1 - confirm that you're in the Shengen area and
2 - provide a short snippet (less than 240 characters) in bash or any other scripting language, described below.
The script would find the three largest files in /foo or its subdirectories and rename them, adding the extension .big. For example, if the three largest files are /foo/1, /foo/bar/2 and /foo/baz/3, they should be renamed /foo/[login to view URL], /foo/bar/[login to view URL], and /foo/3.big. You can assume that no file or subdirectory in /foo has a name that contains any whitespace, and that /foo doesn't contain more than 50 files.
