The IFConfig of one of the interfaces on my FreeBSD system is attached. I want to turn off VLAN_HWCSUM. How do I do that?
I have tried "ifconfig re0- vlanhwcsum" and "ifconfig re0- vlanhwtag"
They appear to take but it does not seem to work. The IFCONFIG is below:
re0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500
inet6 fe80::67d:7bff:feb8:48c%re0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1
inet6 2601:648:8600:6a39:67d:7bff:feb8:48c prefixlen 64 autoconf
inet [url removed, login to view] netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast [url removed, login to view]
media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX <full-duplex>)
I will pay a maximum of $10 for this.
It is OK to turn off the VLAN all together.

How is this interface connected to your switches and or firewall ? Could it be that you have vlan tagging enabled on the switch port and this functionality needs to be disabled ?
