I require a simple Linux Bash shell script to parse the website [url removed, login to view] in the following fashion:
The script is responsible for gathering the links to all stocks currently listed on the TSX.... this is obtainable using the "Symbol Lookup" feature on the site.
For example: [url removed, login to view];Page=1&SearchIsMarket=No&Language=en&SearchKeyword=A&x=51&y=7&SearchCriteria=Name&SearchType=StartWith
The script must be able to follow the "Next page" link and obtain all the links to each stock, for EACH LETTER of the alphabet.
All of these links must be output to a file; one link per line.
-This must be a /bin/bash script. No exceptions.
-I highly prefer the use of the tools wget/awk/sed/grep where possible, but if there is a standard UNIX tool that is better suited, by all means feel free to use them. Portability is essential however.
-All functionality must be contained in a single .sh script
-Meaningful comments must be included within the script.
As I don't have a rating yet on this site, you can search my username on eBay (jparan), send a message to me over eBay to verify I am the same person; and see that I am responsible online with transactions.
