Job is part time permanent, $1000 monthly budget, circa 20 hrs per week. We are a growing freight forwarding company based in Ireland, providing international logistics, customs clearance, and shipping solutions for our clients. We work with Europe, Africa, and South America, and now seek a dedicated remote operations assistant to support our daily freight activities. ⸻ Role Responsibilities • Manage shipment bookings with carriers, shipping lines, and airlines. • Handle import/export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, bills of lading). • Assist with customs clearance preparation (HS codes, TARIC, VAT, duties). • Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and updates. • Maintain accurate records and update tracking spreadsheets / TMS systems. • Liaise with warehouses, hauliers, and agents to ensure smooth delivery. • Prepare and send invoices / PODs to customers. ⸻ Required Skills • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping operations (min. 1 year preferred). • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken). • Knowledge of HS codes / Incoterms / customs paperwork is an advantage. • Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Google Workspace). • Customer service skills with attention to detail.
