We are busy with a project for ecological cotton textiles (bed linen). The brand will be named Cotono. Cotono will be build around the myth of the vegetable lamb (sheeps that grow out of plants). There used to be a time that people in ancient Europe thought that cotton from India was coming from sheeps that grew on plants (I have a photo of this and we want to have this type of logo). Our brand will be all about storytelling.
People in the middle ages (Europeans) were wearing clothes from silk and wool. That was a time that cotton was a luxury product (cotton from India was called the white gold), they did not have access to cotton, because cotton is grown in tropical climates. Nowadays, almost anyone in Europe (or the world) has access to cotton, but the problem is that most of the cotton is dirty because of the huge amount of pesticides that are used for growing the cotton plant. Another problem is that most cotton growers are exploited for cheap labour which will make them to use even more pesticides to let the cotton grow faster.
Cotono will be a clean, green, minimalistic and a lifestyle brand. Fairtrade and ecological cotton grown in India. For every set of bed linen that we will sell, we will plant a tree. The reason we decided to plant a tree is because deforestation is also a result of the growing demand for cotton. Forests are cutted down because farmers need more fields to grow the cotton which has a detrimental effect on the habitat. That's why we want to provide people with a solution. That solution will be Cotono.
The logo should be a plant and a sheep that is growing.
Here's some info that we want the logo and design to be:
- rounded colours / shapes
