I am starting a small local health and performance clinic with a gym and a sports field in Wollongong (a coastal city 1hr south of Sydney). It's located in the grandstand of an AFL stadium/sports ground. Initially, the first 2 years I will be treating as an exercise physiologist and strength & conditioning coach, so think sports conditioning, injury rehabilitation and some exercise for chronic conditions. Mikaela, my wife, will come on board after a few years as a physiotherapist, so she will be treating people ranging from older ladies and women's health to typical sports injuries.
The name PREP is short for preparation and will likely be used throughout different pathways in the business eg work prep, sports prep, surgery prep.
PREP's WHY/TOP 3 PRINCIPLES (may help with your creativity)
1. LEAD - Be a leader of exercise and health in the Illawarra. This encompasses the standard of practice, providing the best services, upskilling and staying at the front of the research, treating every patient like they are family or Usain Bolt, striving for excellence in every aspect of your work.
2. JOY - Bring joy to people involved, make people smile, enjoy what you are doing, have a fun and playful energy, spark a light in the people you work with and for. This involves anyone involved in the business be it workers, clients, referrers, doctors, sports teams, coaches and parents.
3. EMPOWER - Empower clients to take ownership and control of their life. Give individuals the education and tools to manage their health, body, function and performance. Use exercise and movement that is individualised to the person their barriers, constraints and circumstances.
I have some equipment in the gym that is close to the colour magnetic magic (see image 8) so we would like something that aligns with that. Then the use of neutral black, whites and/or greys.
I have also attached some images from a few different sources to guide the process. Each has a short description of the image in the file name.
In summary, we like the images that represent a muscle. We need to make sure its not mistaken for a leaf, but also like that it could look like an ocean wave. The design of PREP in image 1 is close to what we want, just needs some refining. Not sure of the best layout at this stage so please do as you see fit.
