Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Magento 2 developer for a long‑term maintenance contract. Responsibilities 1. Core Maintenance Apply Magento 2 security patches and version updates Update extensions and ensure compatibility Monitor logs (system, exception, cron) and proactively fix issues Maintain server health (cache, indexing, cron jobs, queues) Ensure uptime and stable daily operations 2. Troubleshooting & Bug Fixing Diagnose and resolve frontend and backend issues Fix checkout, cart, customer account, and catalog problems Resolve integration issues (search engine, ERP/Odoo, APIs) Provide fast response for urgent production issues 3. Performance Optimization Improve page load speed and Core Web Vitals Optimize database queries and indexing Review and optimize caching (Redis, Varnish, etc.) Reduce JS/CSS payload and improve theme performance 4. Feature Enhancements (as needed) Implement small UI/UX improvements Configure or customize Magento modules Support integration with external systems (ERP, PIM, search, AI modules) Assist with SEO‑related technical improvements Technical Requirements 5+ years experience with Magento 2 Strong knowledge of: PHP 7/8 MySQL Composer Magento 2 module development REST & GraphQL APIs Linux server environments Experience with: Redis, Varnish, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch Payment gateways (Stripe, Revolut Pay, PayPal) Git workflows Ability to work safely on a live production store Soft Skills Clear and proactive communication Reliable and detail‑oriented Ability to document fixes and changes Comfortable working with a technical founder
