Design a controller for an automated terrarium using either Rasberry Pi or Arduino. The controller must be able to power and a 5 or 10w led chip as well as a PC fan. These two units will need to be running on a timer that is preprogrammed but allow us to retain the rights to make adjustments. Note that the light and fan run at a different timeline so they will be doing different things through the day. The unit needs to be as small as possible as we plan to hide it. Hardware used must be open source and purchasable plug and play. We do not want custom designed hardware.
You will be required to:
- specify the parts required
- ensure the parts are openly avalaible
- write the software
- create two prototypes and post them to us for testing
- create detailed instructions on hardware and software
- provide detail blueprint or CAD of the unit and circuit diagram.
