What I do build regularly is exactly what you describe - indicators computed in Python (MA, RSI, VWAP, ATR, RVOL, Supertrend, PSAR) over Zerodha or Angel One candles, a backtest that spits out a trade-by-trade log with win rate and R:R, then the live order layer once the rules survive the historical run. The part I would push back on is chasing maximum daily profit - I would rather show you honest numbers including the bad days, so you know what you are actually running.
