PVC Plastisol Formulation for Grips

I’m ready to scale production of a PVC-based plastisol specifically for dip-molded grips and I need an experienced compound/formulation specialist to help me finalize a robust recipe and manufacturing protocol. The plastisol must strike the right balance of flexibility, hardness, and heat resistance so the finished grips are comfortable in the hand yet durable under repeated use and elevated temperatures. I already run a dip line, so you’ll be working with someone who understands basic plastisol handling; what I need is the detailed chemistry, precise ratios, and processing window that consistently delivers my target properties. What I expect from you • A complete formulation (resin grade, plasticizer blend, stabilizers, fillers, pigments, and any specialty additives) with supplier references and typical lead times. • Recommended processing parameters for each stage: mixing, deaeration, pre-heat, dip dwell, gel, fuse, and cool-down. • Target physical properties (Shore hardness range, elongation, tensile, service-temperature ceiling) and the ASTM or ISO methods you’d use to verify them. • Troubleshooting guidance covering viscosity drift, surface tack, blistering, and color stability. • A concise technical data sheet that I can hand straight to my production team and potential customers. Acceptance criteria The first pilot batch produced on my 5-liter lab mixer must meet the agreed hardness window ±3 Shore A, pass a 70 °C heat-sag test with <2 % deformation after 2 hours, and retain gloss and adhesion after 1,000 grip cycles.
