The aim of this project is to detect the horizon when out at sea for unmanned vehicles. The horizon in question is also otherwise known as waterline, line that separates sea and background (be it sky or forest). It will be ideal to use OpenCV to implement Hough Transform on the image to detect the waterline. This edge-based detector should compute the horizon line by finding the most prominent line or edge in the image, based on a combination of Hough Transform and Canny Edge detection.
